Did you know we offer free presentations on natural gas, water, energy conservation and other topics? Since 1956, the District’s Employee Speakers Bureau has provided information about our products and services through classroom presentations, civic group meetings, events and tours of our water treatment plant.
We also offer a free library for customers to check out videos about water quality, natural gas safety, compressed natural gas vehicles, utility careers and more!
You may see our mascots at parades, festivals and community events. “Sniffasaurus,” is our lovable dinosaur who delights children wherever he goes while teaching the importance of natural gas safety. Perfect for fairs, exhibits and classroom visits for Kindergarten through 2nd grade. A school visit can take 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Our new water mascot, "Thirstin," is a glass of safe, clean tap water with a baseball cap and straw. He promotes drinking water for health and refreshment. This presentation, appropriate for Kindergarten through 6th grade, can include a cartoon "Water Follies" video for younger students and a chance to meet Thirstin.
