Breaking Ground on a New Facility. October 25 marked the official groundbreaking of the District’s second Construction Center, located near Blair High Road and I-680. The facility will allow us to provide better reliability and business continuity for our customer-owners. Learn more about the project here.

Heating the Streets for Utility Assistance. Save the date for the 17th annual Heat the Streets Run & Walk for Warmth, scheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Aksarben Village. Last year, the event raised more than $138,000 to support utility assistance programs for Metropolitan Utilities District and Omaha Public Power District customers. Celebrating Four Decades of the Home Fund. For 40 years, our customers have been helping each other by contributing to M.U.D.’s Home Fund. The fund, formed in 1983, assists customers experiencing hardship by providing bill assistance. In celebration of 40 years, the District unveiled new artwork on a Field Services van to promote the message of connecting those in need with those who can help.
