Pershing Drive Closed at Florence Water Treatment Plant

Beginning today, John J. Pershing Drive is closed between Dick Collins Rd. and Craig Ave. as part of planned infrastructure improvements at the Florence Water Treatment Plant. During preparation work, safety concerns were identified, and the closure was implemented earlier than anticipated. 

Drivers who typically use Pershing Drive, including those traveling to and from Eppley Airfield, will need to use an alternate route. Detour signs are in place directing traffic to 30^th Street. However, drivers are encouraged to use the route that best meets their travel needs. 

The trail running through the project area is also closed to cyclists and pedestrians. 

These closures are expected to remain in place for the foreseeable future.
