Clean. Safe. Reliable. M.U.D. Releases Annual Water Quality Report
Metropolitan Utilities District is pleased to announce the release of its annual consumer confidence report on water quality, confirming that the metro Omaha area’s water continues to meet or exceed all state and federal standards for drinking water.
“This report reflects the expertise and commitment our employees bring to their work every single day,” said M.U.D. Vice President of Water Operations Doug Whitfield. “Our customer-owners depend on clean, safe and reliable drinking water, and we are committed to providing this life-essential service now and into the future.”
The report provides a detailed review of how M.U.D. treats drinking water using multiple layers of safeguards. These barriers include advanced filtration and disinfection processes designed to remove or neutralize viruses and other contaminants. M.U.D.’s dedicated team of water quality professionals continually monitors, testing water samples more than 1,000 times every day to ensure a safe supply.
M.U.D.’s water is regulated by the Nebraska Department of Water, Energy and Environment and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), ensuring strict compliance with drinking water standards.
