Board Approves 2026 Budget and Rate Changes. M.U.D.’s 2026 budget, which was approved at the December Board of Directors meeting, continues to fund investments in critical infrastructure to ensure the public utility is positioned to serve community growth. Also approved were changes to the natural gas and water rates, with the average residential gas and water customer projected to see a 2.9% net increase on their bill. Winter Water Use Impacts Sewer Fees. Did you know the amount of water you use during the December through March billing period is used to help calculate your sewer fees? The city/municipality you live in sets sewer use rates and is responsible for the sewer system.
