Get Critical Alerts Faster with M.U.D.’s Outage and Emergency Notification System

M.U.D.’s new outage and emergency notification system gives residential customer-owners real-time information about urgent situations in their neighborhood and now you can choose which method will reach you fastest.

How M.U.D.’s Alert System Works

Alerts fall into two categories: outages and emergencies. By default, both types of messages are sent via text to the cellphone number linked to your account. If there isn’t a cellphone listed, alerts go to the email address on file instead.

Set Your MyAccount Notification

We’ve made it easy. Customer-owners are automatically enrolled in the notification system. Now that it is live you are able to select how you would like to be alerted.

Before you make your selections, consider which method will get critical information about things like gas leaks, water main breaks and widespread outages to you the fastest.

Log into MyAccount and select the Customer Preferences tile to choose text, email or phone call. If you need to set up an online account, start here.

You can also go to the Customer Preferences tile to see and/or update your contact information.

What this system is, and isn’t, for

M.U.D. will only use this system during urgent situations affecting safety or service reliability at your service address. It is not used for billing or marketing messages.

Remember, you can always view our outage map online.
