WHAT IS AN EMERGENCY?

Gas leaks, odor of gas, damaged lines, carbon monoxide symptoms and water main breaks are all considered emergencies.

If you smell gas, do not attempt to locate the leak. Instead, leave the house or building right away. Do not use any electrical switches, appliances, lights, telephones, or mobile devices, as an electrical charge could create a spark. When you are in a safe place, call M.U.D.'s emergency hotline at 402.554.7777 or 9-1-1.

If someone is showing symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, call 9-1-1 immediately. Symptoms are like the flu.

¿QUÉ ES UNA EMERGENCIA?

Las fugas de gas, el olor a gas, las tuberías de gas dañadas, los síntomas de monóxido de carbono y roturas en las tuberías principales de agua son consideradas emergencias.

Project Update (7/17/23): M.U.D. planned to start this project in June, however this has been changed due to delays occurring on other current projects. We anticipate starting construction when the other projects are completed and that is now looking to be approximately late July or early August.

Project Update (9/27/2023): Water main work started August 14 and will continue for approximately three months, barring any unplanned details. Please keep in mind site restoration may not be completed prior to Halloween – use caution when walking in project areas. For more details, click on R2000 above.

Project Update (10/16/2023): To perform utility work, M.U.D. needs to close Shirley Street from 168th Street to 169th Circle for approximately three weeks. We anticipate this project to be completed in less than one month. For more details, click on R2000 above.
