Heat the Streets for Utility Assistance. Save the date for the 17th annual Heat the Streets Run & Walk for Warmth, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Aksarben Village. The event raises funds to support utility assistance programs for Metropolitan Utilities District and Omaha Public Power District customers. Celebrating Four Decades of the Home Fund. For 40 years, our customers have been helping each other by contributing to M.U.D.’s Home Fund. The fund, formed in 1983, assists customers experiencing hardship by providing bill assistance.

2024 Sewer Use Charges. The City of Omaha owns and operates the regional wastewater treatment system serving residential, commercial and industrial customers within the City of Omaha and the majority of the metro area. Sewer use rates are set by the City of Omaha and M.U.D. is the billing agent for the city. Sewer use fees are collected on M.U.D. bills and remitted to the city.
