WHAT IS AN EMERGENCY?

Gas leaks, odor of gas, damaged lines, carbon monoxide symptoms and water main breaks are all considered emergencies.

If you smell gas, do not attempt to locate the leak. Instead, leave the house or building right away. Do not use any electrical switches, appliances, lights, telephones, or mobile devices, as an electrical charge could create a spark. When you are in a safe place, call M.U.D.'s emergency hotline at 402.554.7777 or 9-1-1.

If someone is showing symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, call 9-1-1 immediately. Symptoms are like the flu.

Las fugas de gas, el olor a gas, las tuberías de gas dañadas, los síntomas de monóxido de carbono y roturas en las tuberías principales de agua son consideradas emergencias.

Project Update (8/11/2023): Water mains have been installed in 69th St and part of Farnam. The crew will continue to install main on each street north of Howard and on S 68th Ave south of Howard through the end of 2023. In 2024, the crew will continue to install main on each street south of Howard working from west to east. All work is barring any unplanned delays.

Project Update (8/31/2023):

S 69th St Farnam to Howard – service reconnections are completed
S 69th St Dodge to Farnam – service reconnections will start next week
S 68th Ave Howard to Leavenworth – main installation will be completed at the end of the week
S 68th Ave Farnam to Howard – main installation will start next week

Project Update (9/15/2023):

S 68th Ave from Farnam to Dodge – plumbers will be reconnecting water services to the new main next week.
S 68th Ave from Howard to Leavenworth – water main is in service and plumbers will begin reconnecting water services to the new main starting the week of 9/25/2023.
