Project Update (7/17/23): Water main installation completed; currently working on reconnection work from homes to new main (approximately 70% remains); abandonment of old main and restoration remains.

 

Project Update (8/22/23):

M.U.D. CONTRACTOR BACKLUND PLUMBING RECONNECTING  WATER SERVICES

This work requires an excavation by each home’s water stop box to make the reconnection.

1. Woolworth Ave – completed
2. Poppleton Ave – completed
3. Pierce St – completed
4. William St – currently reconnecting services (working east to west); should be completed end of September or beginning of October.

After reconnections are completed, M.U.D. Construction will come back to the project area to make final connections and abandon the old mains. The big holes on the corner lots will remain until these final connections and abandonments are completed.

REPAVING

City of Omaha is currently repaving on William Street and Pierce Street.

RESTORATION

Lawns and landscaping will be restored as weather permits. If cold weather occurs before restoration is complete, it may have to wait until next Spring 2024.
