Gas leaks, odor of gas, damaged lines, carbon monoxide symptoms and water main breaks are all considered emergencies.
If you smell gas, do not attempt to locate the leak. Instead, leave the house or building right away. Do not use any electrical switches, appliances, lights, telephones, or mobile devices, as an electrical charge could create a spark. When you are in a safe place, call M.U.D.'s emergency hotline at 402.554.7777 or 9-1-1.
If someone is showing symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, call 9-1-1 immediately. Symptoms are like the flu.
If you have a water-related emergency, call 402.554.7777. Our personnel are ready to assist you 24/7. When in doubt, call us immediately.

As the fifth largest public gas utility in the United States, we provide a product and service at rates that are lower than area investor-owned utilities and among the lowest in the United States.
To help measure affordability, we compare ourselves to other major utilities included in the annual Memphis Gas, Light and Water survey. Our gas rates remain well below the national and Midwestern averages. Our water rates trended mid-range nationally and regionally.
2021 Water Quality Report
Metropolitan Utilities District (M.U.D.) is proud to present the 2021 Water Quality Report, which provides an overview of your drinking water from the source to the tap. Your water continues to meet or exceed all state and federal standards for drinking water.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur.
More efficient. More savings. More money in your pocket. Metropolitan Utilities District gives you more reasons to choose natural gas appliances and equipment — rebates. Available to residential customers and multi-family housing developers, these rebates are also easy to redeem.
There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don’t look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn’t anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text.

Below you will find a list of locations that accept full payments only. You must have your bill with you to make a payment.
Please note: Paycheck cashing locations are not affiliated with M.U.D. These businesses advertise that they will accept M.U.D. customer payments for a fee that is paid by the customer. If you choose to pay your bill at these locations, it typically takes 3 to 5 business days for M.U.D. to be notified and receive the payment. M.U.D. cannot stop a disconnection notice until we receive the payment.

Leave your water service on during a weather alert or disaster.
You may need water for sanitary facilities or for dousing a small fire. For more information about storing water for emergencies and disasters, please call the Douglas County Health Department at 402.444.7480.
