About my bill

You will receive your M.U.D. bill at approximately the same time each month. If you don't receive it, e-mail our Customer Service or call 554.6666 for a duplicate.

Where does my gas dollar go?

  • 80 cents for the gas you use and the cost to transport it to Omaha.
  • 11 cents to operate and maintain the gas distribution system.
  • 7 cents for depreciation and reinvested earnings
  • 2 cents for in-lieu-of-tax payments to cities in our service area.

Where does my water dollar go?

  • 39 cents to operate and maintain the water production and distribution system.
  • 29 cents for depreciation and reinvested earnings
  • 19 cents for debt service
  • 6 cents for electricity
  • 5 cents for chemical expense
  • 2 cents for in-lieu-of-tax payments to cities in our service area.

Sewer -- Trash
M.U.D. provides a cost-saving service to municipalities by collecting sewer use and trash pickup fees. The sewer and trash fees are set by your city.

If you have an emergency, such as a flooded basement, which may be related to the sewer system, contact your city's public works department. In Omaha, the phone number is 444.5332.
