1.5.05 Board approves contract to save customer-owners more than $4.5 million a year The Metropolitan Utilities District (M.U.D.) Board of Directors today approved a contract for transportation of natural gas to the metro Omaha area that will save customer-owners more than $4.5 million a year. A new contract with Northern Natural Gas Co. will deliver 189,500 decatherms of natural gas to the Omaha metro area for 10 years beginning November 1, 2006. Northern Natural Gas Co. currently provides natural gas transportation for M.U.D. at a cost of $19.4 million a year. |
