9.7.05 M.U.D. board approves natural gas refund The Metropolitan Utilities District Board of Directors approved returning a gas refund $3.4 million from Northern Natural Gas Co. to District customers at its September 7 board meeting. The refund, which covers the period of November 2003 through April 2005, is a result of a rate case settlement as ordered by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The average residential customer will receive a refund of $11.12 divided among the months of October 2005 to February 2006 in the form of a lower rate per therm. M.U.D. serves 197,190 natural gas customers in the Omaha metro area. |
