M.U.D. unveils easier to read bill statement

The Metropolitan Utilities District recently installed a new customer information system, and beginning today, all of our customers will notice a new look to their gas and water bills.

The bill statement is in a larger and easier-to-read format. The format also includes graphs comparing current and previous gas and water use.

Information is arranged for quick and simple reference, plus some new added features give more detail about the account and use of gas and water.

If you bank on-line to pay your M.U.D. bill, you will need to give your new account number to your financial institution. If you use our bank draft plan (automatic bill payment), we have given your new account number to your financial institution.

The new customer information system replaces a system installed more than 35 years ago. Besides providing an easier-to-read statement, the new system ultimately will streamline access to customer account information, expedite customer service response time and improve billing accuracy.

M.U.D. serves more than 190,400 natural gas and 180,540 water customers in the Omaha metro area.
