Board approves water agreement with City of Blair

The Metropolitan Utilities District Board of Directors unanimously approved an agreement today with the City of Blair to provide emergency water service in the event of a major failure of the Blair Water Treatment Plant.

"The agreement is a great example of regional cooperation," said President and General Manager Tom Wurtz.

"The agreement does not affect District operations and we are pleased to provide a helping hand in the event our neighbors encounter an emergency situation." he said. "M.U.D. customers benefit because the higher water revenues help keep rates low."
