1.09.04 Utility elects officers, celebrates The board for Metropolitan Utilities District elected new officers this week -- and did a little celebrating. Jack Frost was elected chairman, and Mary Kay Begley was elected vice chairwoman.

Mary Kay Begley Longtime board members Tom Dowd and John McCollister received watches for 25 years of service. McCollister and Dowd were elected to their fifth terms in 2002. Family for both men attended the board meeting. Also at the meeting was 6-year-old Luke Doyle, who sat with his father, Mark Doyle, as he presided over his final meeting as board chairman. Board members saluted General Manager Tom Wurtz, who is marrying Lisa Glenn Andresen, a former grant writer at Sacred Heart School. |
