6.07.02 Call before you dig Now is the time many homeowners are remodeling the outside of their homes, planting trees, installing fences, etc. If you're one of them, for your safety, call the Diggers Hotline before digging. Digger's Hotline, 811. Call at least two working days in advance, and ask for a "locate." Utility representatives from the gas and water, electric, phone and cablecompanies will locate and mark all underground lines at no charge. If any gas lines are damaged while digging, call M.U.D. immediately at 554.7777. If water lines are damaged, call a licensed plumber. |
