12.01.01 Neddo promoted to director of Safety and Security Peter H. Neddo has been promoted to the newly-created position of director of Safety and Security. Neddo joined the District in 1992 as director of Safety. Prior to coming to the District, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years where had significant safety and security responsibilities, including serving as a Headquarters Strategic Air Command Nuclear Safety Officer. Neddo served as a technical consultant on safety and security matters to the Nuclear Weapons System Safety Group in Albuquerque, NM, and was involved in various security threat vulnerability and risk assessment projects for Air Force facilities. He also was on the staff assistance team that inspected Air Force nuclear safety and security elements and oversaw safety and security incident investigations and reports. Neddo has an undergraduate degree in Industrial Techology from Southern Illinois, and a masters degree in Industrial Safety from Central Missouri State. |
